Einstein Who?

So, I’ve tried this blog thing. To be honest, this is my 3rd one (okay, 4th but who’s counting). Before starting this one I did ask myself how or why would this one be different and the answer was very clear to me.

In my past blogging life, I always struggled with content, but not in the sense that I didn’t have anything to say (100% of the time there is something to say, however, in my wiser years I have learned 2% of the time you should only think it). My struggle came from always trying to make some sort of profound statement or trying to put all my deep down feelings to paper and this my friends is hard, like REAL hard.

I would consider myself to be a pretty thoughtful person and I do have some profound statements from time to time, but I am sometimes usually thinking about things that are less than scholarly. Things more along the lines of, “I wonder if Kim is just as annoyed by Kanye as the rest of the world?” or “I know Chuck Ts are really trendy right now but they kind of make my size 9.5s look like clown feet.” or “Shit, I can’t believe I still haven’t broken 200 lbs on my back squat.”

See what I mean… these are not thoughtful nor are they profound. But let’s be honest, unless your a girl genius who thinks about the quantum mechanics behind your wifi connection or uses pseudorandomness (yes, I just researched the hardest classes offered at Harvard) to figure out your chance of getting a “pay it forward coffee” while you wait in line at Starbucks, your also wondering about Kim and Kanye (or maybe your back squat, if you even lift). Be honest, that’s real life.

Though I don’t have the exact statistics, I am pretty sure 99.9% of us have one dimensional thoughts approximately 99% of the time. Those aren’t exact numbers because I have totally made them up to prove a point. But these, seemingly unimportant, thoughts can be just as awesome as the totally profound, emotionally connected ones.

What does all of this blabber have to do with my blog, you ask. This blog is going to different because I am going to write, not only about quantum mechanics but also about why Vans are better than Chuck Ts and why you should never leave the house without mascara (unless, of course, you have lash extensions or are male).

My posts on this blog may be motivational from time to time, thought provoking from time to time but more often you will be getting my opinion about various topics that are less than Einstein. And don’t worry I don’t know Jack shit about quantum mechanics.

Oh and PS, I have never publicly posted any of my writing that hasn’t been informational so I am a first time soul baring blogger. Hope you like what you read.
